Swanson Bark

Bacon. Whiskey. Caramel. Marshmallows. Chocolate.

Sound amazing? Now imagine them all put together into a gooey bark, an you have why I affectionately call “The Swanson” or “Swanson Bark.” (After the bacon and whiskey loving Ron Swanson, of course.)

I discovered this recipe on Pinterest a few months back and was immediately intrigued. However there were a lot of steps to it that I wasn’t ready to get into but I decided the holidays was as good a time as any to give this a go.

The result was the above, and it was the most freaking delicious thing I have ever eaten. This is the furthest cry from healthy you can get, but it is worth every delectable calorie involved. The crunchy bacon bits marry well with the hardened chocolate and the gooey center of caramel and marshmallows.

I will definitely making this one again! (But not until well after the holidays when I’ve had time to eat healthily to make up for the last two weeks of a chocolate diet!)
