My last two dresses went together so easily I barely stopped to take pictures of the progress. The Chantilly dress is now completely finished and the Rosa dress will soon follow. The Rosa Dress has been on my “to sew” list for a while now. I’ve had both the fabric and the pattern on hand, ready to go but have been waiting. Cutting out patterns and fabric is usually the step that makes me procrastinate the most at the beginning of a project. It’s not particularly difficult but I always dread it for some reason. I think it has to do with making sure I keep the pattern organized as I work and making sure all the pieces are together. This weekend I had some much needed downtime, with no plans other than a trip to the theater on Saturday night. Having cut out the interfacing, I can move on with the dress progress. Checking the directions, I didn’t need to put interfacing in the yoke so it turns out, there’s no harm done. Just goes to show, even if you’ve made the pattern before you need to double check the directions. Cutting and ironing the interfacing.
